The industry comes to our home city

Critical Communications World — the flagship global conference and exhibition for the critical communications industry, presented by TCCA — arrives at ExCeL London on 16–18 June 2026. With the UK's Emergency Services Network (ESN) as Host Operator and the world's leading suppliers exhibiting, including platinum sponsor Motorola Solutions alongside Ericsson, Nokia and Comarch, this year's show lands at a pivotal moment: the transition from proven narrowband TETRA and P25 networks to 3GPP LTE/5G mission-critical broadband is no longer on the horizon — it is underway.

More than 200 exhibitors span the full breadth of the eco-system: network and infrastructure vendors from Airbus, Samsung and Qualcomm to Hytera, Sepura, Teltronic and L3Harris; control room and application specialists including Frequentis, Eviden, NEC Software Solutions and Streamwide; device and accessory makers such as Bittium, Crosscall, Panasonic TOUGHBOOK and Zebra; test and assurance leaders like Rohde & Schwarz, Keysight and VIAVI; and the national operators and agencies shaping the market — ESN, ACMOSS, ASTRID, BDBOS, Erillisverkot and the FirstNet Authority among them.

Critical Insights will be attending throughout — just a short Tube or Uber Boat ride from our London office at Battersea Power Station. If you're working on — or affected by — the mission-critical broadband transition, we'd genuinely like to meet you.

Who we'd like to meet

ESN delivery suppliers. Organisations already contracted to the Home Office ESN programme — including BT/EE and the IBM-led Lot 2 User Services consortium partners such as Samsung Networks, Frequentis, Palo Alto Networks and Telent — carry demanding delivery obligations. We offer independent, technically grounded support for meeting those obligations: from MCX solution expertise and user assurance to operational readiness, drawing on first-hand experience inside the programme.

Emergency services and end-user organisations. Planning and preparing for transition is a programme in its own right. We help user organisations get ready — applying lessons learnt from the original Airwave rollout and re-launch, insight gained consulting on the ESN programme between 2017 and 2022, and experience of MCX solution delivery in Europe, including the French Réseau Radio du Futur (RRF) programme delivered by ACMOSS, gained while consulting with Airbus Public Safety & Security.

MCX device and control room suppliers. Bringing devices and control room solutions into the ESN ecosystem means navigating ESN Device Certification and ESN Control Room Interface integration. If you're a device maker, accessories supplier or control room vendor looking at the UK market, we can help you understand the requirements, plan the route through, and avoid the expensive surprises.

Andrew Fleet will be at ExCeL all three days. Grab a slot for a face-to-face conversation — no obligation, just a useful discussion with someone who has seen this transition from every side.

Why Critical Insights

We are one of very few consultancies with experience continuity across the whole journey: championing frontline users through the first metropolitan Airwave migration, co-developing the "Real World" coverage and performance testing methodology behind the 2002 Airwave re-launch, senior advisory and assurance roles on ESN, and MCX solution delivery across Europe. UK Government Security Cleared (NSV), independent, and grounded in operational reality.
